Amy's FARM!

So I was thinking of how to incorporate Amy's Farm into my life....I go there randomly and I love it!
So I thought of doing some kind of meeting there perhaps Saturday mornings....maybe have kids paint or draw the animals, trees, or barn.....that would be nice.  Very simple and doable.

I just need to have an excuse to go there at least monthly.  Maybe volunteer for a few hours? hey, they give you free produce!  And it would be nice to go with family so that kids get to see elders walk around the farm, feed the animals, etc. You know, mix up the age groups....

ideas for the meet-up would be:
-a walk around the farm
-a story (either reading a book or hearing a story-farm related)
-a drawing/painting

yeah, that sounds nice:)

Cleaning products

BETTER LIFE cleaning products

I heard people talking about this new line of natural cleaning products so I decided to give them a try.  So far I love them! They do the job and smell great! it helps so much to have something ready and to know that it's going to be safe for kids, adults and the environment.

I'm happy and almost ready to purchase more however, I must first finish the other products I currently have and hopefully use them when kids are not around and cover my mouth/nose....whatever happened to cleaning with warm water and vinegar?? I guess I got lazy but I really hope to go back to that.....

give them a try!

doTerra Essential Oils

I love these new essential oils I purchased! I am in LOVE with them.  I was sick about a week ago and I used them on my stomach, on my forehead, on my pillow to help me sleep and feel better.  They helped me so much.  I really am loving this package and I also put a few drops on the humidifier and on my kids for their cough.  I love them all, specially:
lavender,
lemon,
breathe,
melaluca,
eucapyptus,
one word, many blessings: doTerra

NEW YEAR 2014!
I have been thinking about the changes I would like to make in regards to trying to be a bit more eco-friendly and maintaining those changes this New Year.  It's easy to have an "eco-friendly challenge" because you have a deadline and you get motivated to stick to that but when it comes down to it, it's more about trying to make those changes become a new and healthy habit for the rest of our lives.

Here are some of the changes I need to stick to for these upcoming 30days:
1. gardening
(I need to improve the soil on my backyard and try to plan herbs and veggies
2. plant more roses
(this way I don't have to buy roses from the store)
3. clear up space and donate house items to charity
4. switch all cleaning products to eco-friendly and natural alternatives
5. get an air purifier? (need to research this one)
6. learn to compost
7. Finish all Styrofoam paper products and buy only paper or decomposable
8. volunteer at the farm when possible

Let's see if I can implement and maintain these changes, will report in 30-days!
